Q&A:  Dustin Brown & PreSk8

(Interviewed Monday, October 24, 2011 by CEO Glen Schmelter)

GS:  Dustin thanks for your time today.  I just wanted to ask a few questions about you taking PreSk8 and how you feel it effects you when you are jumping on the ice and even when you were using it in off season workouts.  When I connected with Tim Adams (LA Kings Strength and Conditioning) he mentioned he was going to connect with you about the safety and effectiveness of the product and the science behing PreSk8.  I also wanted to thank you  for being apart of PreSk8 and our company.  Definitely appreciate your support. 

DB:  No problem.  I appreciate the product and even though I really never used any supplements before I feel good about using PreSk8.  Talking with Tim (Adams) in depth really made me realize that PreSk8 is different than other products out there.  I like it to the point that it’s part of my routine now, so thank you.

GS:  Your welcome.  Ok, just a few questions as I know your schedule it tight today.

Q:  What’s special about PreSk8?

A:  “PreSk8 is made specifically for hockey players.  I’ve tried a few things before but nothing was really designed for the way hockey is played.  The starting and stopping part of the game.  Also, the game is very cerebral as everything is happening so quick and other products give you jitters.  With PreSk8 I feel very relaxed but yet have great energy.”

Q:  How is it helping you?

A:  “My legs stayed fresher longer and that is probably one of the most noticeable benefits.  I am able to push harder right up through the end of my skate or my workouts.  I was getting more reps with more power and finish.  I feel calmer and able to be in the zone late in my workouts.  Now that is something new for me as when you are training you get mentally tired and now with PreSk8 I just feel the focus throughout my workout.  Those are probably to the 2 most noticable benefits.  PreSk8 is now part of my pregame routine.”

Q:  Did you feel any side effects?

A:  “No, I actually feel really good when I take it.  It’s funny because with new products or products you don’t know who is behind guys tend to not take them.  The fact you and Tim (Adams) where friends and Tim was able to talk wtih me one on one, really helped ease me into even trying the product.  Like I mentioned before I’ve tried other products but would get an uneasy and or jitters and you just can’t have that in hockey.  I’ve been taking PreSk8 for a few months now and with each and every workout/skate there are no jitters or crash.  I feel really good and there are no side effects that I can feel.”

Q:  So, would you recommend PreSk8 to other players?

A:  “Absolutely.  When I first was introduced to PreSk8 one of the things I liked about it was that it safe.  Talking with Tim (Adams) and knowing the lengths you guys went to make sure the products was safe is comforting.  He mentioned your Chief Nutrition Officer, Brett Hall (Former R&D Director with EAS) went to WADA to make sure it was safe and then they used science to make sure the product was effective.  Basically its very safe and works great.  I would definitely recommend it to players.”

Hockey fans cheer for their team as the Vancouver Canucks take to the ice against the Los Angeles Kings for Game 1 of their NHL Western Conference quarter-final hockey playoffs in Vancouver, British Columbia, April 11, 2012.

More than one third of Canadians are calling the Vancouver Canucks their team in the Stanley Cup playoffs, describing the team as strong and exciting, according to an Angus Reid Survey released today.

Another 20 per cent of 1,506 Canadians in an online survey from April 5 to 7 – before the playoffs began – said they will root for the Ottawa Senators during the playoffs.

The Vancouver Canucks polled ahead of all other Canadian hockey teams as strong (47 per cent), exciting (36 per cent) and clean (26 per cent).

Vancouver and Ottawa were the only two Canadian teams to make the playoffs.

The Canucks dropped their first home game to the Los Angeles Kings 4-2, and play again tonight.

The survey also showed that the Canucks (11 per cent) are now the most third popular team in the country behind the Montreal Canadiens (19 per cent) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (17 per cent).

However, the Maple Leafs are the leaders on six negative traits: weak (48 per cent), in decline (43 per cent), disrespected (41 per cent), arrogant (39 per cent), boring (38 per cent) and overrated (38 per cent).

The Canadiens received mixed results, with the most mentions for classic (49 per cent), admired (36 per cent) and dirty (25 per cent).

Among self-described hockey fans, the Maple Leafs hold a three-point advantage over the Canadiens at 24 per cent to 21 per cent.

The Canucks were third among hockey fans (18 per cent), followed by the Edmonton Oilers (13 per cent).

The Canucks positive image mirrors that of the City of Vancouver which topped the survey list with the most mentions for being admired (50 per cent), exciting (47 per cent) and fresh (42 per cent).

The City of Toronto also topped the chart with the most negative attributes: arrogant (52 per cent), overrated (45 per cent), dirty (37 per cent) and disrespected (29 per cent). Toronto was characterized as strong by 40 per cent of those surveyed.

Half of those surveyed said they do not have a most hated National Hockey League team (51 per cent), but one in five (19 per cent) named the Maple Leafs.

The Canadiens are the second most despised team at five per cent.
